Each piece decorated in the Japanese Imari style with a vase of flowers on a table at the centre and an elaborate border of three shaped lappets enamelled in iron-red and gilt on a white ground with a Buddhist lion, a pair of birds on a prunus branch, and flowers, alternating with similarly-shaped underglaze blue lappets with floral motifs, comprising:
A soup-tureen, cover and stand with peach finial and upright bracket handles, the stand 13¾ in. (35 cm.) wide
Two smaller tureens, covers and one stand, similar, the stand 12½ in. (31.7 cm.) wide
Two vegetable tureens and covers, 9½ in. (24.3 cm.) wide
Two tureen-stands, 14¾ in. (37.5 cm.) and 13¾ in. (35 cm.) wide
Two mazarins and strainers, 18¼ in. (46.5 cm.) wide
Two leaf-shaped sauce-boats, 7 in. (18 cm.) wide
An oval deep basin, 12½ in. (31.8 cm.) wide
