AN UNUSUAL 'POMPADOUR'-PATTERN CRUET-STAND
QIANLONG PERIOD, CIRCA 1745
Comprising two circular receptacles with straight sides conjoined to one side and applied with two circular loop handles, decorated with the same pattern but in the alternative palette to the preceding lot, primarily in iron-red and green enamels with gilt embellishments, and touches of blue, turquoise and aubergine, the interiors of the receptacles each with a single hibiscus bloom and a band of trellis-pattern at the rim
