The shaped rectangular stand on four lobed feet and mounted with two shaped oval inkwells with lobed and spreading bases, each with hinged circular cover and silver-gilt liner, the hammered surface chased with vari-colored gilt bursting pomegranates, rosettes, blossoms and vines, each inkwell chased with conforming decoration at border and on cover, the inner border of each well chased with grooves, marked under base, also marked 6656/4170/1832, the stand and liners marked with French import marks
