Tasting note: Even in the very early 1990s, beginning to show some maturity; very good, rich, vegetal fragrance; ripe sweetness, full-bodied, touch of bitterness, inimitable aftertaste. Most recently noted at Wagner's very useful La Tâche vertical. Now mature, singed, spicy Pinot, seeming unknit at first but opened up fragrantly and the small amount left in my glass holding well for over four hours. Good, firm, fullish, flavoury. Last noted April 1998 ****. Now-2010 Michael Broadbent, Vintage Wine
