Lot Essay

In the 1985 sale catalogue this was attributed to Herman Saftleven, and Dr. Schulz was stated to be including it as Saftleven's work in his forthcoming supplement on the artist's drawings as no. 1454. Yet the attribution to Saftleven remains uncertain.
