SIX ARC-SHAPED PENDANTS, LATE SHANG-HAN DYNASTY, (1200BC-1ST CENTURY BC)
a deep green toned curved pendant with very minor alteration to stone, remains of cinnabar lacquer to one side, carved to the rims with pointed and scrolling edged motifs, drill holes to either edge of pendant; a completely altered jade pendant, the terminal edges carved and pierced in dragon head motifs; a heavily altered deep green jade tiger pendant, of curved form, one end with scrolling tail detail, with incised leg and head embellishment, drill hole to head end; a heavily altered deep green curved knife formed pendant, minor cinnabar residue to surface, with incised scroll detailing and drill hole to one end; a completely altered jade arc formed pendant, with heavy cinnabar residue with incised detailing and with scrolling hole cut out to the centre, drill hole to one end; and a completely altered fish formed pendant, heavy cinnabar residue to surface, with incised tail and fin detailing, drill hole to one end -- the first, 4 1/8in. (10.4cm.) wide. (6)
