A GROUP OF TEN JADE BEADS, NEOLITHIC PERIOD/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (1100-771BC)
comprising four conical beads, one altered to a creamy yellow tone of slight octagonal form, with a small drill hole to larger rim, two smaller beads almost completely altered to a creamy white tone, the other of light green tone partially altered to white with carved geometrical decoration to rims; three cylindrical jade beads, the first completely altered to white, the second of smooth green tone with reddish white inclusions, with one carved hole at one end, and a smaller one of dark russet tone; a small grooved cylindrical jade bead of creamy white colour; a light green jade rectangular bead carved with pairs of wings; and a smaller rectangular bead, of greyish white tone with russet inclusions -- the first, 2 3/8in. (6.1cm.) long. (10)
