AN ARCHAISTIC JADEITE VESSEL AND COVER, GUANG, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the pouring vessel carved in imitation of an archaic bronze guang, decorated in shallow relief on each side of the body with panels of archaistic dragons and birds, each separated by vertical flanges, the handle in the form of a mythical horned beast, the fitted lid with a fantastic bird to one end, a ram mask to the opposite side -- 11½in. (29.3cm.) wide, wood stand.
