A TIBETAN GILT BRONZE LAMA, 18TH CENTURY
the serene figure modelled seated in long robes, his right arm exposed and raised into vitarka mudra, the gesture of argument, seated on a square base formed as twin piled cushions overlaid with a stretch of fabric with incised foliate borders, a line of calligraphy to the reverse of the cushion support -- 5¼in. (13.4cm.) high.
