With canted corners, painted with groups of scantily-draped putti picking flowers, grapes, sharpening arrows and playing with caged birds, the interior of the cover with a similar scene of putti seated on rockwork beside a basket of flowers in a river landscape, the interior richly gilt (minute surface scratching)
