GENEVA, CIRCA 1830/1840, STRUCK WITH A 14-CARAT GOLD MARK
Oval box with scalloped outline, the cover and base centred by oval reserves with concave sides enamelled with trophies of Music on cover and floral bouquet on base against opaque light blue ground, gold strapwork and red guilloché enamel border surrounded by apple-green champlevé enamel interspersed with translucent blue flowers and four sky-blue oval cartouches containing gold trophies of Music and translucent blue flowers, the sides similarly enamelled with alternating panels of cornflower-blue enamel with white scrolls and apple-green enamel with sky-blue cartouches, translucent crimson and opaque white foliage, scalloped flange
