Rectangular box, the cover, base and sides engine-turned with a scalework pattern, framed with bands of polished gold, slightly raised thumbpiece, the inside cover engraved, 'From George Montagu and Harriet Sydney, Duke and Duchess of Manchester To their father Conway Richard Dobbs: 1853.'
