LONDON, 1735, MAKER'S MARK IL, MULLET ABOVE, (SEE GRIMWADE NO. 3650)
Shaped circular and on four scroll-capped paw feet, later engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on the reverse
11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) diam.
34 oz. (1,070 gr.)
The arms are those of Ramsay impaling Sandilands, for William Ramsay (1809-1850), M.P. for Midlothian, and his wife Mary (d.1891), daughter of James, 10th Lord Torphichen.
