The central coat-of-arms surrounded by feathery mantling and a flowering branch to the right, surmounted by an arm holding a rod below the inscription REGARDE.A.LA.MORT. within a ribbon, the motto DUM.SPIRO.SPERO. written underneath, within an iron-red and gilt spearhead band, the flat rim decorated with Louis VX style strapwork divided by two wreaths and pairs of doves (small rim restoration)
