ATTRIBUTED TO THE DARIUS PAINTER, CIRCA 340-320 B.C.
The obverse with Dionysos seated in the center, leaning against two pillows, a himation wrapped around his legs and over his left arm, holding a phiale and a branching thyrsos, a thymiaterion and fillet to the left, a bowl and amphora below, a female standing to the left, wearing an elaborately-patterned long-sleeved garment and a chlamys, playing the aulos, a tree behind, a nude satyr to the right, holding the handle of a rhyton and a situla, rosettes and a fillet above, winged and bejeweled Eros above, seated on a himation, holding a tympanum, a phiale to the left; a double band of ivy and a thin band of ovolo below; the reverse with a nude young satyr moving left but looking back, holding a filleted torch in his right hand, a phiale in his left, a youth to the right, nude but for a chlamys, holding a banded situla in his right hand, a filleted laurel branch in his left, plants and a phiale below, fillets, a rosette and window above; a band of meander below, a band of laurel encircling above, details in added white and yellow
