A GREEK BLACK-GLAZED ASKOS
SOUTH ITALY, CIRCA 4TH CENTURY B.C.
In the form of a boar, striding forward, a spout on the hind quarters, with a ring handle on the left flank, the head with a long snout, protruding tusks, and erect ears, the eyes with the pupils indicated, the genitalia and curling tail articulated, with incised fur along the top of the back and around the head, the eyes and tusks in added white
