Lot Essay

The present sconces are said to have been made for the Hotel Provincial in Mar del Plata, Argentina, around 1940. The architect of the Hotel Provincial was Alejandro Bustillo and the entire interior decoration, fittings and furnishings were executed by the firm Comte.
