St. Petersburg, 1908-1917, unrecorded maker's mark BA
Decorated with the Cyrillic monogram of grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, the honorary chairman of the society superimposed with a monogram of Maria Pavlovna, the Cyrillic letters 'I. R. P. O' for the Imperial Russian Fire Society on the ribbon beneath, marked behind crown

Lot Essay

Sold together with a Certificate from the Imperial Russian Fire Brigade Society under the patronage of Maria Pavlovna stating that the recipient, Adolf Yanson [Janson] was the assistant to the head of the Fenneriska Fire Brigade. The certificate is also dated 1st January 1914.
