Probably originally a figure of an angel and cut down from a larger figure, on a later octagonal base, the base with a printed paper label 'Sammlung Wilhelm Gumprecht 63' and inscribed in graphite 'Venezianische Terra Firma anfang 16 Jahrhundert ...26 III 1918 ...von Fl...sch, Berlin MK:DOAA 214'
