An unusual pair of Imari octagonal jars and covers

Of baluster shape, painted with erotically tinged panels of a bijin standing at the door of a pavilion looking at two amorous doves perched in a tree, below three quatrefoil panels on the shoulder enclosing a small child watching a bijin writing calligraphy whilst her kimono falls over one shoulder to reveal a breast, all reserved on an underglaze-blue ground with scrolling foliage and peony blooms, the high domed cover with karashishi finial (damages, one cover European)
