2 volumes in one, 2° (422 x 311mm). Engraved frontispiece, two letterpress titles to each volume, 76 hand-coloured aquatint plates by J.C. Stadler after J. Farington, 3 double-page, folding engraved map on two double-page sheets. (A little offsetting to plates, some spotting of text, occasional light creasing and marginal soiling.) Contemporary diced russia gilt, gilt edges (rebacked, preserving old spine, lower corners bumped). Provenance: Chalfont House (bookplate) -- William Henry Smith (1825-1891, bookplate).
