Five ivory Okimono and an ivory box
19th and 20th Centuries
Including a group of three rats (one ear damaged), signed Mishu, on a wooden base, 6.5 cm wide; one shaped as a craftsman seated among his tools, holding a brush in his right hand and a plate in his left (minor chips), unsigned, 7 cm wide; a small Okimono depicting a group of three men by a road post (probably a piece missing from a standing man), unsigned, 5.5 cm high; an Okimono-style netsuke of a Chinese warrior, possibly Shoki, slaughtering an eagle, the eyes of the eagle inlaid with dark horn (minor chips and slight damage at the back of the bird), signed Koyu (Kimitomo), 4.5 cm high; an ivory Chinese carving of two men playing a game of Go watched by a servant (age cracks and some damage), unsigned, 6.3 cm high; and the Chinese ivory box with hinged cover carved in relief with figures on a boat before building and among willow and flowering trees, unsigned, 8 cm wide (6)
