Meiji period (late 19th Century)
Decorated with carved ivory and shell inlay and lacquered in hiramaki-e, togidashi, fundame and other techniques with a pair of ducks and song-birds near a lake and blossoming wisteria tree, the large black lacquer stand patterned with gold lacquer, scrolling foliage and engraved kanamono to the corners (some damage)
