EARLY 18TH CENTURY
Crossbanded and featherbanded overall, the cornice with later giltwood urn-finials above a pair of doors with arched later plates, enclosing a fitted rosewood interior with pigeon-holes incorporating two niches, above a further row of pigeon-holes above a conforming recess and a drawer flanked by four drawers and a Cornithian column drawer with giltwood capitals, above a central concave drawer, above a pair of candle-slides, the bureau enclosing a fitted rosewood interior with a slide enclosing a well and pigeon-holes above concave drawers flanking two Doric column drawers and an arched recessed door enclosing two pigeon-holes and two drawers, above a slide, and two short and two long drawers, on later bun feet, one drawer stamped 'FROM WILLIAMSON & SONS GUILDFORD', the bureau drawer handles replaced
