LATE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With tapering barrel chiselled with a European pattern of formalised
foliage on the breech, engraved strongly rounded lock with roller, walnut full stock carved with foliage and guilloche borders in low relief over its length (cracked below the lock), white metal mounts, including spurred pommel engraved on both sides with a crowned double eagle charged with an heraldic shield and fitted with domed cap cut with a pair of tethered lions, pierced side-plate (cracked), and false ramrod.
