Each in excavated condition, the first with heavy slender tapering blade of stiff-diamond section, iron hilt with arched forward-swept quillons, down-turned ring-guard originally fitted with a plate, faceted pommel, and original grip; the second with tapering triangular blade, the hilt chiselled with a chain-link pattern, and with ring-guard filled with a pierced plate
