A commemoration of the celebrations for the French-supported Batavian Republic (1795-1806) held in Amsterdam. These celebrations, on 19 June 1795, coincided with the installation of the representatives to the new National Assembly. Most of the hand-colored illustrations show monuments with allegorical figures. The vignette on the title-page is signed by the engraver NOACH VAN DER MEER the younger (1741-1822). Both Lipperheide and Berlin call for 12 engraved plates (title and 11 plates). Other copies appear to have all 15 plates as in the additional suite of plates. Berlin 2973; Lipperheide Sm 13. (2)
