An exceedingly scarce description of the tournament in Ferrara for the wedding of GIOVANNI FRANCESCO SACCHETTI (1595-1637) and BEATRICE ESTENSE TASSONE that was held February-March 1631. This tournament was held at Carnival time, and was one of two organized for their wedding. The plates depict allegorical and historical re-enactments that were performed, including two scenes from the "Favola d'Alcina." Cicognara 1438; Watanabe 418.
