4o (189 x 135 mm). Errata leaf bound after title-page, fol. 236 with patch over signature and catchword, presumably done by the printer to correct irregularities in collation. One engraved folding plate by ANTONIO CONTRERAS (some minor soiling). (Last leaf laid down.) Later sheep (front joint starting, some minor rubbing, chipped at spine ends). Provenance: Salamanca (ink stamp on front pastedown, verso of plate, and a few leaves); old library label on spine.

A description of the funeral services held in Lima for MARIA ANNA JOSEPHA (1683-1754), Archduchess of Austria, Queen Consort of Portugal. In addition to the funeral oration delivered by FRANCISCO PONCE DE LEóN, the work includes a large number of funeral poems written by local poets and also those abroad; one Spanish lawyer even attempted a short poem in English entitled "Epigrama Anglico." The catafalque, adorned with numerous candelabra and statuary, is illustrated in the folding plate.
