Sempere y Guarino's account of the elaborate arches and buildings erected and spectacularly decorated for the coronation of CHARLES IV (1749-1819), King of Spain, and his wife MARIA LOUISA of Parma (1751-1819) in Madrid in 1789. He provides an index of the main decorations in the city, as well as in-depth descriptions of the ornamentation and statuary.
