Two parts in one, 2o (325 x 222 mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece by ANTONIO BOVA and two folding plates, one by Bova and the other by BERNARDINO BONGIOVANNI after the design of NICOLÒ PALMA. (one with repaired tear crossing image). (Some browning.) Contemporary Sicilian goatskin, wide gilt borders surrounding a large central mottled panel with fleurons at the corners, spine gilt, mottled paper pastedowns (lacking clasps and catches, some light rubbing).

The plates show the funeral decorations at the cathedral in Palermo and the monument erected for the king. The architecture was done by NICOLÒ PALMA. The ceremonies took place starting on 15 January 1747, with Viceroy Corsini leading a procession of 22 nobles to the church.
