The first on stepped and lobed high-domed base, the baluster-shaped stem rising to a partly lobed bell-shaped cuppa, engraved with text and date; and the second on circular-shaped high-domed base, rising to a knobbed stem and tapering cuppa

Lot Essay

The inscription reads: "Presented to Captain H. Disney by the members of the Clubhouse Zeeburg at Harlingen as a token esteem for gallantly going out, in his Ship's boat with Captain Atkins and three of his crew to save some of the lives on board of one of the Amsterdam packets in great distress near this Port in the stormy night of the 19th October 1838" see illustration
