Maker's mark of Jan Bot, Amsterdam, 1749
Oblong, on reeded rim and with reeded bands to the lid, with shaped thumb-piece, the sides engraved with shells, tassels, scrolls and leafage, the lid engraved with a tazza containing fruits, the initials: B.J. below and the date 1759, flanked by horns of fruits, scrolls, birds and the figures of Moses and Aaron in scroll-shaped cartouches
