The saddle blanket worn by horse Seattle Slew during the first leg of his Triple Crown winning 1977 season, the legendary Kentucky Derby. The black blanket features a pair of embroidered numbers 3, and is inscribed in light silver ink, SEATTLE SLEW .77. Derby, Jean Cruguet. Cruguet was Seattle Slew's winning jockey, and the blanket is accompanied by a letter of provenance from him.
