A fine tortoiseshell trunk-shaped casket with silver mounts
Apparently unmarked, possibly Former Dutch East Indies, circa 1740
Of fluted rectangular form, on four ball- and claw supports, surmounted by scrolling foliate motifs, the sides with two handles with rosette-shaped back plates, the angles with scrolling foliate mounts and with swing handle, the front with lock engraved with the monogram: GG
