Représenté debout sur un socle lotiforme, ses deux mains principales en abhishekhamudra, ses dix autres bras rayonnant autour de lui, les mains tenant divers attributs, vêtu d'une jupe souple maintenue à la taille et rehaussée de rubans et perlages, les épaules recouvertes d'une étoffe, le visage serein, les yeux mi-clos, le front ceint d'une tiare ouvragée dans laquelle apparaît le Bouddha Amithaba ; petits accidents

Avalokitesvara, also known as Guanyin, is the Bodhisattva of compassion and the protector of the world. The 'One-thousand-armed' Avalokitesvara belongs to esoteric Buddhism with the arms symbolising his many powers for saving the world and helping followers to gain enlightenment.
