4o (183 x 137 mm). Woodcut initial and head-piece. (Some occasional spotting.) Contemporary speckled calf (rebacked preserving the original spine, corners repaired, pastedowns renewed). Provenance: John Deane (signature date 28th March 1634 on recto of first blank); James Strang (late 17th-century lengthy inscription on recto of first blank).
An early edition, first published in 1582. As the title states, the work contains remedies and formulas for virtually every possible ailment.
