Représentant un dindon debout près d'un tronc d'arbre, sur une base circulaire, la tête inclinée et tournée vers la droite, à décor peint au naturel probablement par Johannes Zeschinger, marron, ocre, vert, noir, rose et bleu, petits éclats et petites sautes d'émail

Lot Essay

Johannes Zeschinger: né en 1723; il arrive à la manufacture de Höchst vers 1743. Il y reste jusque vers 1753, date à laquelle il part pour Fürstenberg. C'est le peintre le plus important de cette manufacture, fondée en 1746 par A.F. von Löwenfinck.

Pour d'autres oeuvres de cet artiste, voir par Horst Reber, Die Kurmainzische Porzellan-Manufaktur Höchst, Munich, 1986. Notre modèle ne paraît pas dans cet ouvrage qui fait référence sur le sujet.
