Lot Essay

Le décor intérieur du couvercle est probablement tiré d'une gravure de Melchior Küssell dont les vues topographiques italiennes et autrichiennes étaient souvent utilisées à Meissen dans les années 1740. Il semblerait qu'il représente une vue du jardin du cardinal Monte Alto à Rome.
