Modelé par Johan-Joachim Kändler, représentant un couple de bergers assis enlacés et accompagnés d'un mouton et d'un chien, reposant sur une base ovale appliquée de fleurs et feuilles en relief, à décor polychrome et or au naturel, manque l'arbre, petites restaurations et petits éclats

Lot Essay

Ce modèle, exécuté d'après un tableau de François Boucher, a été produit avec et sans l'arbre situé à l'arrière du couple; il est mentionné dans les archives de Kandler de 1740-48.

Pour un modèle similaire avec arbre, voir par Laurence Mitchell, Meissen collector's catalogue, China, 2004, p.98, pl.19, n.D19.; et la vente chez Christie's Paris, le 25 juin 2008, lot 133.
