Le groupe allégorique de Florence Triomphant de Pise a été commissionné par Francesco de'Medici a Giambologna vers 1574 comme pendant du groupe en marbre Victoire réalisé par Michelangelo. Le groupe allégorique en marbre est conservé au Museo Nazionale Bargello, à Florence. Largement admiré, le groupe fut copié dans divers matériaux par un certain nombre d'artistes européens, tel que Massimiliano Soldani-Benzi (1656-1740) qui offrit au Prince Johann Adam en 1706 une copie en bronze.
