drypoint, 1943, on laid paper, with a VM watermark, signed in pencil, inscribed Epreuve d'artiste, one of ten artist's proofs on this paper printed in 1957 (there were also two artist's proofs on wove, and probably a few earlier impressions), pale light-staining, very pale soiling in the left margin, otherwise in good condition
