In an interview Dave Gilmour comments on his feelings towards Rock 'n' Roll photography 'We were always incredibly uncomfortable, with photo-sessions. We tended not to use pictures of ourselves on the album covers, partially due to our discomfort with photo-sessions', he elaborates, 'I like live shots. They are the most effective shots because they're the only ones that show you doing what you do rather than posing for a camera.'
The image was voted number 47 in the 100 Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Photographs by Q Magazine in 2002; commenting on the photograph Jill explained that ...On that particular February night, doing what you do (referring to Gilmour) meant risking life and limb, playing guitar while blinded by the full glare of a spotlight, perching precariously atop an alarming high wall whose basic design required that it should be very easy to knock down.
