Lot Essay

The vendor obtained these signatures on the 15th April 1963, Easter Monday, at rehearsals held in the Bridge Hotel, Tenbury Wells Worcestershire. The vendor a 17 year old DJ for the Riverside Dancing Club in Tenbury, also acted as an advisor for the membership committee. In October 1962 the vendor advised the commitee after seeing an advert in NEMS, to hire the Beatles for the annual Club Night. On the morning of the 15th April, the vendor was playing snooker in the village when he and his friends saw the Beatles' tour van arrive. Knowing where the band would be staying, he rushed home to gather as many pieces of Beatles-related memorabilia he could find for them to sign.
