A 1970s Hofner 5000/1 Bass in natural finish, bound maple body, spruce top, maple neck, twenty-two fret bound ebony fingerboard with double-dot inlays, headstock face with floral motif, two pickups, selector switch, control plate with three rotary controls and three switches, ebony bridge, gold-plated metal tailpiece and imitation marble pickguard, a German music shop sticker on the back of the headstock, signed and inscribed on the lower bass bout of the body in black felt pen Paul McCartney 1989; and a black hardshell contour case; accompanied by photographs of McCartney holding the guitar (2)
