signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' and with monogram (lower right), signed again, inscribed and dated 'Queen Alexandra sighed, she/was feeling lonely - her children,/so happy in those young far-off/days. Now they were gone their several ways. Her dear son George,/was now the King of a large Empire/and could not always spare the /time to come to Sandringham to see/his mother. Today a great longing came/over her for her beloved Denmark, so /putting on her hat she called her little/dog, 'Come', she said 'We will walk in/the meadows, you and I, and see the wide sky which is just like Denmark and/the year was 1908/Helen Layfield Bradley 1975' (on card, framed in a separate mount)
