The top with a reeded edge above a conforming undertier, on ring turned legs joined by stretchers, stamped to the underside '6178'

A line drawing of a similar table is shown in William Watt, Art Furniture Designs by E.W. Godwin, London, 1877, pl.15. Collinson and Lock are known to have executed versions of Godwin's design for their clients' requirements. See Susan Weber Soros, The Secular Furniture of E. W.
