The blue leather-lined top above two drawers on panelled foliate end standards with stiff-leaf capitals, joined by a part upholstered stretcher, on paw feet

George Trollope & Sons were registered under this name in 1843 and are recorded in West Halkin Street by 1864. The firm exhibited at several International Exhibitions. A table of similar design labelled 'G.Trollope & Sons' is illustrated Blairman's 2002 catalogue, no. 16.
