The rectangular leather-lined writing-surface with a three-quarter pierced gallery above three drawers decorated with floral sprays, the top drawer fitted with a hinged writing surface, the sides conformingly-inlaid, on square tapering legs with brass caps and castors, stamped 'D DE LOOSE' and 'JME', with a depository label, inscribed '1487(?)' in chalk
