FIRST QUARTER 18TH CENTURY
The rounded rectangular and moulded top above a pierced frieze carved with acanthus leaves and rockwork, centred by a stylised shell flanked by trailing husks, the conformingly-carved sides centred by pierced cabochons, on acanthus-entwined cabriole legs headed by stylised shells joined by conformingly-carved stretchers centred by a shell and terminating in scrolled feet, probably previously decorated, the marble first half 18th century but associated and the console reduced in depth to accomodate it
